If you’ve ever stayed at a Hilton DoubleTree hotel, you know the joy of being greeted with a warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. Chewy on the inside, slightly crisp on the edges, and packed with chocolate chips, these famous cookies are unforgettable. Here’s how you can recreate the magic at home.

DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookies Full Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 2/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 3/4 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling on cookies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a stand mixer, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed for 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed and beat until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  4. Turn off mixer and add flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix on low for about 45 seconds until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
  6. Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 20–23 minutes, until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
  8. Remove from oven and, if desired, sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Cool on baking sheet for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Recipe from Hilton.
  • DoubleTree doesn’t use flaky sea salt, but adding it makes the cookies even better!
  • Walnuts are optional, so feel free to include them if you enjoy a nutty crunch.
